Poya is the creation of jewellery designer Rachel Balfour.

Rachel's design ethos is to create unique, sassy, statement jewellery - that is designed to be talked about. Semi-precious stones are sourced from all over the world and each individual, quirky and precious piece is handmade in London and unmistakably Poya.

Rachel started designing jewellery whilst working as a documentary researcher in Sri Lanka. After being inspired by the country's beautiful hand made jewellery, she returned to London and started a jewellery making course at Central St. Martins. Rachel's creations were such a hit with her fashion savvy friends that she decided to put together her first collection - which was snapped up by Nude, a renowned contemporary design shop in Mayfair. This was closely followed by her successful stall at London's Portobello market.
